Substituted benzyloxyphenyl chalcones 1a-j on reaction with hydrazine hydrate 2 and glacial acetic acid 3 in 2-methoxyethanol as reaction medium gave novel substituted Nacetylpyrazol ines 4a-j . Newly obtained N-acetylpyrazol ines were characterized on the basis of FT-IR, 1H-NMR, GC-MS, and elemental analysis.
