SYNTHESIS, CHARACTERIZATION AND ANTIOXIDANT ACTIVITIES OF NOVEL 1-(MORPHOLINE-4-YL-METHYL)-3-ALKYL(ARYL)-4-[4-(DIMETHYLAMINO)-BENZYLIDENAMINO]-4,5-DIHYDRO-1H-1,2,4-TRIAZOL-5-ONES

In this paper, eight novel 1-(morpholine-4-yl-methyl)-3-alkyl(aryl)-4-[4-(dimethylamino)-benzylidenamino]-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones ( 2 ) were obtained by the reactions of 3-alkyl(aryl)-4-[4-(dimethylamino)-benzylidenamino]-4,5-dihydro-1H-1,2,4-triazol-5-ones ( 1 ) with formaldehyde and morpholine. The novel synthesized compounds were identified by IR, 1 H NMR and 13 C NMR spectral data. Besides, the newly synthesized compounds were analysed for their in vitro potential antioxidant capacities in three different assays. All of the compounds demonstrated significant activity for metal chelating effect.
