Objective: Laparoscopy has begun to perform in most of the cases previously operated with laparotomy in last two decade. Clinics are carrying out different kinds of operations varying from diagnostic to oncological procedures according to their experience. We decided to present the laparoscopic operations and findings performed for diagnostic and operative reason in gynecology clinic at last six year. Material and Methods: The laparoscopic operations which performed between January 2006 and December 2011 were retrospectively evaluated. A totally 229 cases in which the laparoscopy was done for diagnostic and operative purpose was included into study. Results: The mean age, gravida, parity and living child numbers of cases were 34.5±9.0 years, 2.0±1.6, 1.9±1.6 and 1.8±1.4, respectively. The 30 of 33 cases evaluated as endometriosis intraoperative were verified as pathologically. The complication rates were 0.9% in cases with diagnostic and minor laparoscopy and 12.5% in 16 cases operated with laparoscopic hysterectomy. Conclusions: Although, the laparoscopic surgery is performed as safely and effectively in thousands of cases all over the world, the complication developing risk should be considered. The advanced operations should be carried out by experienced surgeons. We thought that the specimens should be obtained for the pathological evaluation in all cases. Key complications. Words: laparoscopy, laparoscopic surgery, laparoscopy
