Byzantine Emperor Andronicus I Comnenus and His Reforms to Rearrange of the Government Organization Andronicus I Comnenus, despite having only two years in the imperial throne, is one of the most prominent personalities in the Byzantine history. During his short reign, Andronicus I Comnenus reformed and re-organized the Byzantine management system. This led to a visible improvement in the management system and eliminated many disruptions. However his violent methods when performing these reforms and opposition of the Byzantine aristocracy, lost their privileges which they had previously, had caused a reaction against his administration and he had lost his throne and life tragically in a rebellion that broke out in the capital of the Byzantine Empire
