TOPLUMSAL CİNSİYET BAĞLAMINDA POLİTİK SÖYLEM: 1989-2011 YILLARI ARASI HÜKÜMET PROGRAMLARINDA AİLE VE KADINLAR

This paper analyses the Turkish governments’ political discourse on women and family between 19892011. It studies the government programme in a comparative way in terms of their approach to gender issues. Drawing upon the exploration of 13 government programme, it uses discourse analysis method in order to understand the governments’ approaches to gender and the transformation underwent. Highlighting this transformation aside, this paper also aims to contribute to a distinctive perspective to the Turkish women’s history
