The author on the basis of clinical experience analyses the effectiveness of common bone substitutes and reviews prospects of other bone-grafting methods. It is offered to use minimum of enthetic materials, also the advantages of using single-stage protocol and one-phase implants are shown as compared to generally accepted methods in case of the atrophy of the alveolar ridge. Article also supports the concept of conservation of natural teeth.
