Turkiye’nin ekonomik olarak yenilenebilir enerji potansiyeli toplamda 299,7 TWh/yil’i asmistir. Bunun dagilimi, hidroelektrik enerji icin 125 TWh/yil, gunes enerjisi icin 102,3 TWh/yil, ruzgar enerjisi icin 50 TWh/yil, jeotermal enerji icin 22,4 TWh/ yil’dir. Diger yandan, Illere gore kurulu ruzgar gucu dagilimi dikkate alindiginda Manisa toplam kapasitenin %13,21 ‘lik oraniyla ucuncu sirada yer almaktadir. POTANTIAL ANALYSIS OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES IN MANISA In this study, first, renewable energy sources of the World and Turkey and their potentials are examined separately as hydropower, wind energy, solar energy and geothermal energy. Then renewable energy sources of Manisa and their potentials, taking into account the data are analyzed. Turkey is a country which has the highest hydropower, wind, solar and geothermal energy potential among European countries. Turkey’s economically feasible renewable energy potential exceeded 299.7 TWh/year in total, with a potential of 125 TWh/year of hydropower, 102.3 TWh/year of solar energy, 50 TWh/year of wind energy and 22.4 TWh/year of geothermal energy. On the other hand, considering the distribution of installed wind power according to provinces, Manisa ranks third with 13,21% of the total capacity. Manisa has a great potential regarding solar and geothermal energy. According to the General Directorate of Mineral Research and Exploration (MTA), in Manisa there are 6 geothermal fields which are suitable for electricity production.
