DERI SANAYI ATIK SULARINDAN KROM (VI) IYONUNUN ADSORBSIYONU Son yillarda atik sularin aritilmasinda alternatif aritim yontemleri gelistirilmektedir. Atik sulardaki agir metalleri gidermek icin kullanilan yontemlerden birisi de agir metallerin adsorpsiyonudur. Bir agir metal olan Cr(VI), su kirliligine ve canli bunyesinde toksik etkiye neden olur. Bu calismada klinoptilolit, asit ile aktive edilmis klinoptilolit gibi dogal adsorbanlar kullanilarak Cr(VI) iyonunun adsorpsiyonu ve deri atik suyundaki diger kirletici parametrelerin giderimi arastirilmistir.Bu calismada, adsorpsiyona etki eden temel faktorler incelendikten sonra calisma parametreleri olarak uygun karistirma hizi, pH, adsorbanin uygun tanecik boyutu, uygun konsantrasyon, adsorban miktari ve sicaklik bulunmustur. Krom (VI) cozeltileri icin optimum sartlar belirlenmistir. Daha sonra, kullanilan adsorban maddeler icin onceden belirlenmis optimum kosullarda atik su ile adsorpsiyon deneyleri yapilmistir. Deneysel calismalarda bir deri endustrisi atik sularindan kompozit olarak alinan numunede, KOI (Kimyasal Oksijen Ihtiyaci), AKM (Askida Kati Madde), BOI (Biyolojik Oksijen Ihtiyaci) ve Krom (VI) parametrelerinin giderimi uzerine calisilmistir. Klinoptilolit ve aktif klinoptilolit kullanimiyla sirasiyla KOI, AKM, BOI ve krom(VI) degerleri icin; %50, %55, %33 ve % 80 civarinda adsorpsiyon verimleri elde edilmistir. REMOVAL OF CHROMIUM (VI) ION FROM LEATHER WASTEWATERS BY ADSORPTION Alternative wastewater treatment methods are developed in recent years. One elimination method of heavy metals from the waste water is the adsorption of heavy metals. Cr (VI) is a heavy metal which is cause of water pollution and toxic effect on the living structures. In this study, the adsorption of Cr (VI) and removal of other polluted parameters was researched using natural adsorbents as clinoptilolite, activated clinoptilolite with acid. The study consists of two experimental parts. In the first part, principal factors affecting the adsorption were investigated. Suitable mix rate, pH, particular size of adsorbent, concentration, amount of adsorbent, temperature were invented and the optimum conditions were determined for chromium (VI) solutions. In the second part, adsorption tests were done with waste water under pre-determined optimum conditions for the adsorbents. Experimental studies were taken place on removal of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), SS (Suspend Solid), BOD (Biological Oxygen Demand) and chromium (VI) from composite sample of the tannery waste water. The outputs of adsorption using clinoptilolite and activated clinoptilolite for COD, SS, BOI and chromium(VI) respectively about %50, %55, %33, %80 was obtained.
