The purpose of this research is to determine opinions of undergraduate students on mother tongue education. In the light of the universal principles of linguistics, It is extremly important that mother tongue education is the quality will improve the richness of the Turkish language and Turkish literature. Language training; language skills and literary skills and knowledge should be carried out in order to support and complement each other, the transfer of knowledge, without neglecting any of the main areas of learning rather than be carried out in a structured process that information. Otherwise, reading, listening / viewing, speaking, writing training to be successful in the literature and grammar learning areas will not be possible. As a result, in the central area of grammar teaching, can not provide sufficient literary education, rules-based training approach will be adopted to memorize. The opinions of the students in the final stages of the training process for evaluating implementation of mother tongue education in Turkey is important. In this study; Likert-type scale "Opinions of University Students on Mother Tongue Education " has been prepared with the aim to collect data. The study group of this research constitutes students studying in Aksaray University and Firat University. Independent groups according to gender t test was used to analyze the data. To look at the relationship of the dimensions of the scale correlation analysis was used.
