Nigâr Hanım is one of the important women poets of Turkish Literature who lived between 1862-1918. Her father is Adolf Farkas who was of Hungarian origin, was known as Macar Osman Paşa who escaped from 1848 Hungarians Revolution and took refuge in the Ottoman Empire. Her mother Emine Rif’ati Hanım is described as “a typical oriental woman”. We can say that Nigâr Hanım was grown like Occidental under the influence of his father at the same time was grown with the idea of living in the Oriental. Nigâr Hanım did not find happiness after marriage has three children. Her poem books include her ideas about children education. These ideas are usually releated to the mother-child relationship. A woman who has influenced the periods Nigâr Hanım’s proses was published in many places especially Hanımlara Mahsûs Gazete. In this study, we will try to examine her views on education from her books Efsûs 1, Efsûs 2, Nîrân and Aks-i Sadâ .
