Diabetes is a disease that affects many people in the world . Diabetes cost in the U.S.A. is estimated to represent 5.8% of total personal health-care expenditures. In Europe diabetes is estimated to consume about 10% of the total health care budget. An Intelligent Diabetes Management System was developed by computer science students at Texas A&M University Corpus Christi to help people monitor and control the blood glucose level. The diabetes experts were Dr. Steve Ponder and Dr. Hilda Ramirez from Driscoll Children’s Hospital. This paper describes the steps followed to implement it.
