Herbert Hess, University of Idaho Herb Hess received the PhD degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1993. He served on the faculty of the United States Military Academy from 1983-1988. In 1993, he joined the University of Idaho, where he is Associate Professor of Electrical Engineering. He received the Best Paper Overall Award for the 1999 ASEE Annual Conference. His interests are in device and circuit aspects of power electronic energy converters.
