Dr. Mo Rastgaar received the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA, USA, in 2008. He is currently an Associate Professor in mechanical engineering and the Director of the Human-Interactive Robotics Lab. His present research focuses on developing assistive robots through characterizing the agility in the human gait. Dr. Rastgaar is a recipient of 2014 NSF CAREER Award.
