Yiming (Kevin) Rong is a Professor of Mechanical Engineering and the Associate Program Director of Manufacturing/Materials Engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from University of Kentucky, in 1989. Dr. Rong worked as a faculty member at Southern Illinois University for eight years before joining WPI in 1998. Since 2010, Professor Rong has also worked at Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, taking the leadership in Manufacturing Engineering.
