This essay presents certain occurrrences of the animus as a Jung archetype in three folk narratives: a) Tabubu And Satni; b) "`Play girl'; c) "La Belle Dame San Merci". In all three cases presented, the female protagonist projects Maslow’s “high dominance” pattern, in reference to food and to sexuality.
