EnglishThe study of the constitutional bases of Spanish administrative law has taken place, fundamentally, through the particular analysis of the different constitutional norms that affect its development and implementation. In turn, the purpose of this article is to analyze the general structure of the relationship between administrative and constitutional law. The argument unfolds as follows. In the first part several typical manifestations of this relationship are identified. The second part of the paper analytically explores the subordination of administrative law to the Constitution, which relates to the restriction and steering of the production and implementation of administrative rules by the latter. Finally, the third part focuses on the dynamics of administrative law’s constitutional subordination.
