A new azo containing Schiff base were synthesized using 3-amino-3-azabicyclo[3.3.0]octane hydrochloride, salicylaldehyde and aniline. The synthesized ligand were reacted with acetate salts of Cobalt (II), Copper (II) and Nickel (II). Synthesized compounds were characterized using spectral techniques. Metal coordination compounds gave good/moderate results as catalysts in the oxidation reactions of styrene and cyclohexene. Antimicrobial activities of the synthesized compounds showed good suppressor effects on a number of Gram (-) and Gram (+) bacteria. Electronic features of all the compounds were also reported.
