Apoptosis is one of the cell death types which is studied for a long times. During the last 30 years many investigation were carried out for this type cell death and the molecular mechanism of this self destruction of live cell were explained. Whether the effect is too little or high. Apoptosis is one of the most important reason for many disease such as hematologic disorder, autoimmune and neurodegenerative diseases, ischemic damages and for various types of cancers. The cell life cycle regulation of the cell is the indication of it is therapeutic potentials. For this reason the studies still hardly continue on the life cycle and signaling pathways that control the cell cycle and apoptosis. It is known that many apoptotic role is were. Investigated but more studies needed for their mechanistic action. The goal of this review is to provide a general overview of current knowledge on the process of apoptosis including apoptotic mechanisms, the role of apoptosis in health and disease, therapeutic opportunities to exploit apoptosis for cancer therapy and treatment samples.
