The structure of students’ perception of social status in contemporary society

In this article it is shown a result of study on structure and content of social perception among students concerning high and low social status in modern society. Third year students from Moscow universities took part in this study. The number of respon- dents was 151 students. The results show that the hard core of social status perception differs among student from different status groups based on quantitative and content patterns. The hard core of high social status perception among high status students and low social status perception among low status students also differs and has the most meaningful content in comparison with other status categories.
