Legislative Framework for Prevention of Various Kinds of Deviant Behavior of Children and Adolescents in the General Education System

The article presents a detailed review of the legislative framework regulating the activities of general education workers in the field of prevention of different kinds of deviant behav-ior of children and adolescents, such as risk behavior, suicidal (self-harming) behavior, ad-dictive behavior, xenophobia and extremism. It is emphasized that organizing effective prophylaxis presupposes these: 1) early detection of factors and tendencies towards deviant forms of behavior in schoolchildren, developing their personality resources; 2) develop-ment of psychological and educational competence of educators and parents (or legal rep-resentatives); 3) creation of a psychologically safe environment conducive to development and upbringing; 4) interdisciplinary and inter-agency collaboration in organizing preven-tive work in an educational institution
