The article presents a part of the results of a study of the thinking of schizophrenic patients on abstract concepts — value categories. A comparative analysis on the results from studies of the values of 105 diagnosed schizophrenia and 102 individual control group made it possible to identify typical categorization strategies: by chain type, nucleus isolation, on the basis of abstract characteristics. Тhe comparison of strategies of thinking about values with thinking disorders, as described in the pathopsychological conclusions.
