We present an analysis of the Landscape Analytics (LA), a specific way of group psychotherapy suggested by S. Berezin and D. Isaev. Methodological bases, specific techniques and the source of the therapeutic effect are discussed. The method is regarded through the concepts of general personology, transactional analysis, analytical psychology, developmental approach and the psychological theory of activity. We point out the following aspects of LA effect: a participant’s involvement into an active exploration of the different spaces of life, activation of all ego-states simultaneously, stimulating Transcendent Function, creating a multilevel image of the world, assistance in seeing developmental tasks in connection with the super-objective. All these points can be discussed as components of generalized effect aimed at providing conditions that help participants widen and integrate their orientation.
