Attention is paid to the problem of the use of certain types of tests of social cognition, the success of the implementation of which is related to the degree of development of verbal ability test, in particular — pragmatic language. The article describes the results of the available studies of the association of social cognition, general intelligence and language abilities. The study was performed by a grant from the Russian Science Foundation (grant № 14-18-03461) at the Federal Medical Research Centre of Psychiatry and Narcology under the Ministry of Public Health of the Russian Federation.
