Politicians have an important place in individual and community life, because of possession the owners / managers of social resources so they are in a position to guide decision-making. Local administrations are the closest service unit to the public and therefore to the problems of women. Gender inequality is also existing in many areas in Turkey, as in the world. One of the most common areas of inequality is the position of women in political decision-making. In many developed countries, representation of women representatives in national parliaments rate is higher than Turkey. In this sense, it constitutes half of the total population in Turkey is important to be able to explain the role of women in the political sphere. In the historical process of study, the place and the activity of the woman among the Turkish political elites, current Women's position and women's rights are taken up in terms of political power in Turkish society. The current situation of Turkish women in the mentioned areas, on the axis of political participation will be examined in the light of the world and Turkey.
