Increasing energy consumption has forced producers and users to search new and environment friendly energy sources in parallel with energy necessities in development of technology and industry. Among the renewable energy sources, wind has the greatest potential and use. The wind energy is evaluated as a valuable and clear energy source because of some specifications such as clear, fast starting, reliable and independent from fuel. It is the economical electricity produced that makes the interest inevitable in the wind energy industry, which undergoes a rapid technological development. Although Turkey is rich in wind energy potential, there was no significant study in this energy source before 2000. In 2005, with the legislation of Renewable Energy Sources law, research on wind energy has increased. The law encourages the investment in wind energy and also guarantees the purchase of the produced electricity energy by the government. In this study the systems renewable resource from Wind Energy has been examined and the Sincik Power Plant (Adıyaman), has been evaluated.
