The importance of nanorods and nanotubes are presented in the field of solar cell developments. The investigations of nanostructured related efficiencyincreasing processes in external fields are more invited. A group theoretical method for the study of electron states of semiconductors can be relevant to solar energy too is proposed. For further applications a possible extension is raised up.
