1,2,4-triazines are well known compounds. A large number of 1,2,4-triazines were reported in the literature. The first comprehensive review on the chemistry of 1,2,4-triazines appeared in 1950. Five years later, a second review was published by Howrwitz 1 and a third review by Hadacek and Slouka 2-4 in three volumes during 1965-1990. A short review of the 1,2,4-triazines was published by jones and Kershaw 5 . Besides these reviews, a number of publications discussing special aspects of the chemistry of 1,2,4-traizines have been published. The abundance of 1,2,4-triazines in the literature is mainly because of the following aspects.
