The growing popularity of franchising as one of the forms of business development by the so-called ‘budding’ seems to have a strong influence on entrepreneurial behaviors of the players in the franchising market. Particularly in Turkey, a country disturbed by turbulent political and economic changes, the company development in the franchising chain gives a sense of security. The aim of this article is to present the impact of franchising on the development of entrepreneurship among franchisors and franchisees in Turkey. The article is based on author’s own research carried out on the Turkish franchising market in 2016 and 2017 as well as on secondary data, using the qualitative method.
