Logistics, which an inherent feature is the integration of flows and processes, plays an important role in contemporary management. The aim of the article is to present the most important, managerial aspects of integration, seen as a key feature of logistics concept. Logistics as a concept of materials, goods and information flow management influences business performance and success, as well as business competitive advantage creation. The symptom of business success and the basis for business competitive advantage creation are market and economic outcomes achieved by the firm. In pursuit of these outcomes achievement an important role is assigned to flows and processes integration, which – in the management context – concerns the relationships of logistics goals and strategies with business goals and overall business strategy.
