Mobile Communication Congestion Exposure Scenario

This memo describes a mobile communications use case for congestionexposure (ConEx) with a particular focus on those mobile communicationnetworks that are architecturally similar to the 3GPP Evolved PacketSystem (EPS). This memo provides a brief overview of the architectureof these networks (both access and core networks) and current QoSmechanisms and then discusses how congestion exposure concepts couldbe applied. Based on this discussion, this memo suggests a set ofrequirements for ConEx mechanisms that particularly apply to thesemobile networks.
