This specification defines the 'describes' link relation typethat allows resource representations to indicate that they aredescribing another resource. In contexts where applications want toassociate described resources and description resources, and want tobuild services based on these associations, the 'describes' linkrelation type provides the opposite direction of the'describedby' link relation type, which already is a registeredlink relation type.
