In some Mobile IPv4 deployments identifying the mobile node or themobility service subscriber is not enough to distinguish betweenmultiple services possibly provisioned to the said mobile node and itsmobility service subscription. A capability to specify differentservices in addition to the mobile node identity can be leveraged toprovide flexibility for mobility service providers to provide multipleservices within a single mobility service subscription. This documentdescribes a Service Selection Extension for Mobile IPv4 that isintended to assist home agents to make specific service selections forthe mobility service subscription during the registration procedure.
