This memo is a draft revision of the standards track RFC-2669. Pleasesee "Revision Descriptions" below for a description of changes. Thisdocument or its successor will obsolete RFC-2669 when accepted. Thismemo defines a portion of the Management Information Base (MIB) foruse with network management protocols in the Internet community. Inparticular, it defines a basic set of managed objects for SNMP- basedmanagement of DOCSIS compliant Cable Modems and Cable ModemTermination Systems. This memo specifies a MIB module in a mannerthat is compliant to the SNMP SMIv2[5][6][7]. The set of objects isconsistent with the SNMP framework and existing SNMP standards. Thismemo is a product of the IPCDN working group within the InternetEngineering Task Force. Comments are solicited and should be addressedto the working group's mailing list at ipcdn@ietf.org and/or theauthor.
