The Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) is extensible. Itprovides mechanisms for adding new operations, extending existingoperations, and expanding user and system schemas. This documentdiscusses considerations for designers of LDAP extensions. Thisdocument specifies an Internet Best Current Practices for the InternetCommunity, and requests discussion and suggestions for improvements.
