To support the activities of the Federal Research InternetCoordinating Committee (FRICC) in creating an interconnected set ofnetworks to serve the research community, two workshops were held toaddress the technical support of policy issues that arise wheninterconnecting such networks. Held under the suspices of the InternetActivities Board at the request of the FRICC, and sponsored by NASAthrough RIACS, the workshops addressed the required and feasibletechnologies and architectures that could be used to satisfy thedesired policies for interconnection. The purpose of this RFC is toreport the results of these workshops.
