The most binder types used in flexible pavements are asphalt cements in our country. In this study the rutting resistance and performance grades high temperature values of four different penetration grades of asphalt cements (B 50/70, B 70/100, B 100/150 and B 160/220) obtained from TUPRAS refinery were determined according to Superpave system by using DSR test equipment. In addition the rotational viscosimeter test equipment was used to determine the workability of binders. From the results it was determined that when the penetration grades of asphalt cements is increasing the viscosities and resistance of the binders to rutting are decreasing. Regarding the parameter of resistance of binders to rutting it was determined that the high temperature values performance grades of binders ranged from high penetration grade to lower penetration grade as PG 58, PG 64, PG 64 and PG 70 according to Superpave system. Although the B 70/100 and 100/150 place in different class according to penetration classification, it was determined that they placed in same performance grade according to Superpave system by DSR test.
