A interpretação do erro e a consciência metalinguística - um estudo com alunos de origem cabo-verdiana

Com o presente trabalho pretendiamos recolher informacao, por um lado,sobre os desvios na escrita e, por outro lado, sobre a conscienciametalinguistica dos alunos de origem cabo-verdiana, a frequentar o 3o ou o 4oano do 1.o Ciclo do Ensino Basico, de duas escolas, em Setubal.O corpus analisado e composto por seis textos, escritos a pares, bem comopelo registo audio de todo o processo de escrita desses mesmos textos. Aanalise de dados consistiu na interpretacao dos erros presentes nos textos edos comentarios metalinguisticos dos alunos.Apesar de todos terem as mesmas origens, apresentaram diferentes niveis deproficiencia em LP, a qual se mostrou pelo menos satisfatoria, e de dominio doCrioulo, para alguns uma lingua pouco utilizada.De um modo geral, constatamos que a maioria dos alunos teve dificuldades naarea fonetico-ortografica sobretudo na relacao assistematica de fonia/grafia.Tanto para este como para os outros tipos de erro detectados sao apontadasvarias fontes, nomeadamente a influencia do Crioulo, a influencia dalinguagem oral e as estrategias de comunicacao em Lingua Portuguesa.A consciencia metalinguistica dos alunos revelou-se apenas na identificacao ecorrreccao dos erros, bem como em determinados questionamentos. Osalunos nao referiram as razoes desses erros, nao utilizaram termos linguisticosnas suas verbalizacoes nem explicitaram regras gramaticias. Encontram-se,assim, na fase epilinguistica do desenvolvimento metalinguistico.O levantamento dessas dificuldades e a sua analise poderao constituir umabase de informacoes para um ensino mais eficaz que visa colmatar asdificuldades desse publico. ABSTRACT: With the following work we meant to gather information not only about theerrors in writing but also about the metalinguistic awareness of cape verdianstudents attending the third and fourth grades of the first cycle of the BasicSchool of two different schools in the city of Setubal.The analyzed corpus is composed by six texts, produced in pairs, as well asthe audio register of the whole writing process of those texts. The dataanalyses were based on the interpretation of the detected misspellings of thereferred texts and on the metalinguistic comments of the students.Although all have the some origin, they presented different levels of proficiencyin Portuguese Language - which was at least satisfactory - and also differentlevels as far as the domination of Creole is concerned, which was, for some,not much used.Generally speaking, we noticed that most students had difficulties in the area ofphonetics and orthography, particularly in the assystematic relation betweensound and spelling.
