survey methodology and approach to sampling are described elsewhere. 3-6 The Canadian sample is representativ e of approximately 95% of students from grades 6-10 (ages 11-15), and reflects national demographics in terms of geography, religion, and language of instruction. Youth from home-schools, privately funded schools, the incarcerated and those not attending school were not surveyed. Participating students were asked to answer several questions about injury events experienced during the previous 12 months.
