Democracy nowadays goes through different extension processes involving different ways of modernization in the government action; thus including the relationship with citizens who require the establishment opportunities for participation especially in the processes where they are included and they can take the control. Thus, there are multiple ways and opportunities for citizens to participate and control the state action, such as accountability. This article aims to look at the main ideas that include these ways of citizen participation considering the law experience between Chile and Colombia.
