Tecnología, territorio y sociedad. Producción de biodiesel a partir de aceites usados

Since 2002, a number of experiences have developed in Argentina related to biodiesel productionbased on waste vegetable oils. The development of these experiences can be interpreted asa socio-technical trajectory in which different social and technical, and different socio-demographicconditions were articulated, generating distinct socio-technical styles. The reconstructionof this trajectory makes possible an understanding of how processes of co-construction oftechnologies, regulations, economic dynamics and social practices develop. In the case analyzed,this reconstruction will permit observation of how the use of waste material can resolve environmentalas well as economic and social problems.
