After being exposed to all facets of medicine, I have found Obstetrics and Gynecology to be the most challenging, artistic and amazing field in medicine. The University of Iowa Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency Program shaped my personality to become a successful academic obstetrician and gynecologist. The most surprising part of our program was didactics: an efficient schedule covering general OB-GYN and subspecialties. Everything was made to make me able to attend, even on the busy days. The way didactic sessions were provided was very creative and never boring. I can say with certainty that I was enjoying myself while I was learning. Being in the University of Iowa program, I felt confident about the future. I was sure that the program would make me ready, and when done I would be a great candidate for any US academic system. And that was true.
