Eski ve Yeni Paradigmalar Açısından Sosyal Hareketler

The subject of this paper covers social movements regarding the new and the old paradigms. This work aims to have an idea on the possibilities of having a newer ideological perspective on social movement paradigms. To do this, the theories of movement by Smelser and Dahrendorf’s social movements phenomena are taken into account. Touraine’s views that are considered to be the widest on this point will be covered in addition to giving a place to the explanation of the new social movement paradigm’s basic theses. Lastly, Starting from Gole’s theory of Touraine which studies Islamic women acitivities, the new and the old paradigms will be compared and contrasted.
