Thispaperfocuses ontherealization ofacomplete embeddedsystem using thedual-core processor OMAP5910. Detailed description ofhowtocompose thehardware system ispresented withadescription ofthesoftware system onour platform. Thecommunication betweenthetwocoresis realized usingtheDSPdriver. Thesystembootloader and the DSP bootloader are described in detail. The implementation oftheMPEG-4videodecoderhasbeen realized on thepresented system. Higherspeedcanbe achieved andlesspowerisneededforMPEG-4 video processing onourdual-core platform. Thisdual-core system canbeapplied toboth3Gwireless communication androbot vision systems. co otc
