Commentary: Exodontia is the most common dental surgical procedure, with a wide range of complications. Aim: To assess the knowledge, attitude, and experience of senior undergraduate dental students towards the management of complications in exodontia. Materials & Methods: Dental housemen from various dental colleges, participated in the study. A questionnaire was distributed and the results were analyzed. Results: 93.4% of the study group performed extractions, only 35.4% encountered complications. Despite adequate knowledge (57.3%) the lack of confidence (60.0%), led to the consultation of an oral surgeon to manage complications (73.7%). 93.8% required additional training in handling complications. Conclusion: The negative attitude can be overcome by educational workshops related to the subject, that increase awareness of dental students, about their knowledge and practice relating to the management of complications in exodontia.
