This review article, was built under the project: The Virtual Campus of UNAD as a space for the construction of collaborative learning; made by the group and cyberculture territory assigned to the National Open and Distance University, whose main objective was the identification of collaborative learning as mediation strategy, developing and theoretical concepts of device categories, pedagogical mediation and collaborative learning, approached from the current teaching that explore the phenomenon of incorporating information technologies and communication in education. In this sense, this article emphasizes the methodology from a thoughtful design techniques and conceptual approaches that require scenarios in virtual environments. With the particular context of cyberculture and methodological elaborations from the social sciences is presented, then a text allowing argue the meaning of ethnography and its virtual variant is constructed; ending with a hypertext exposing tensions. Thus, context, text and hypertext form a critical and purposeful narrative regarding practices and legitimacy of research methodologies for emerging cognitive and social orders.
