Ernestina de Champourcin is one of the few women who has been officially integrated into the Generation of '27. In this study, after the appropriate historical and biographical contextualization of the writer, Presencia a Oscuras is thoroughly analyzed, by focusing on the theme of identity. The main tool used for this purpose is the examination of the verb forms most frequently used in this book. After the analysis it is concluded that the poetic character is built through the struggle between the desire to be destroyed and the resistance to oblivion.
