This paper presents an overview of path planning of a mobile robot using VREP [Virtual Robot Experimen tation Platform] which is a powerful m3D simulator that create, compose, simula te any robot and is said to be a Swiss army knife a mong robot simulators. This allows for versatile prototyping applications inclu ding systems verification, safety/remote monitoring , rapid algorithm development, the robot model can be added by various entities an d primitive shapes and sensors which include proxim ity sensor, vision sensor, and force sensor with different shapes.
