Range extension and molecular taxonomy of Propeamussium arabicum (Mollusca: Bivalvia: Propeamussiidae) from Indian waters

The thin shelled pectinoidean bivalve, Propeamussium arabicum is a molluscan species originally described from Gulf of Aden. This paper records the first report of this species in Indian coast and explains the extended distribution of the species towards eastern Arabian Sea.
