A 53-year-old patient came to have a check-up abdominal cavity US examination performed. The patient underwent sigmoidectomy 3 years before because of adenocarcinoma. After 16 months the patient underwent reoperation because of the relapse. A complication in the form of an intra-abdominal abscess occurred, which was treated in 5 weeks. The patient currently feels well and the level of neoplastic markers is normal. In the last US examination performed 5 months before only fine cysts in the head of the pancreas were stated. In the present US examination there was still the picture of cystic lesions in the pancreas (fig. 1 – head and body of the pancreas in two projections).
