The paper examines criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of state financial control in the theoretical and applied aspects. It is proved that the efficiency of state financial control should be considered not only in terms of evaluating the effectiveness of work bodies state control, but also in terms of performance budgeting and spending of budget and extrabudgetary funds.
